Yes, I was really born on a Tuesday. I'm convinced my mother made a BIG mistake, though. I believe she meant to have given birth to me the previous Thursday. As in the dear old Mother Goose tale, Thursday’s Child has far to go. Also, I would have been born under the sign of the lion, which would have reflected my redheaded temperament so-o much better. (Well—it used to be true, anyway. I was once a natural red-head. Really. But…(sigh) time changed all that. So-o sad.) But, the point is, what could my mother have been thinking??? Grace??? I wish! Uh-h…what I mean is, according to that same old FAIRY tale, Tuesday’s Child is Full of Grace. WRONG! During the single college dance class I took the truth was revealed. Unfortunately. This is a true story! And I’m rotten on a balance beam, too. So gymnastics was out. It’s all true. No grace. Zip! Zero! Honest!!!
I'm a writer of historical romance whose writings, to date, are set prior to, during and after the Revolutionary War in South Carolina. My latest book is the final chapter of the saga, set during the current time. Here’s a little hint: Stay tuned to find out more about this generation’s next Richard and Alexandra!
In my real life, I'm the wife of a retired U.S. Navy officer. With him I've been fortunate to live in or travel to all but three of the states of the union, and also to Canada, Mexico, and several European nations. With my husband, I've dipped my toes in every body of water that washes America's shores including the Gulfs of Mexico and California, and even the Arctic Ocean (br-r!). I've travelled over, under and on both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and this, too, is true.
Please enjoy my little stories of travel, historical costumes, gardens, homes, and even food! If they happened to me, they’re all true. God help my poor husband. So just sit back and relax for a while.
